Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obedia Houghington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Houghington is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blitzkrieg bop. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack throws a chopping leg kick but Houghington manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Horrible takedown by Houghington or perhaps it was just good defense by Mack which made him look bad.
Houghington tries for a takedown but Mack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Mack counters by clinching up.
Mauricio Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Obedia Houghington.

Mack will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Houghington is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mack tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Houghington fails with the takedown

Mack has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Houghington regains guard immediately.
Mack wants to get up but he can't break Houghington's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
