Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia has chosen Sottotono - Quei bravi ragazzi as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roberto Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Garcia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garcia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jay scores a takedown into full mount!

Jay is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Garcia is surviving well by controlling Jay's body position as best he can.

Jay is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Garcia has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Garcia!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Garcia connects with a nice short shot to Jay's temple.

Jay swings for the body but Garcia moves out of range.
Jay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jay shoots in looking for a takedown. Garcia tries to sprawl out of it but Jay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jay tries to lock up and control but Garcia gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Garcia lands a heavy elbow.
Garcia prevents Jay from getting the reversal.

Garcia postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jay looks a forlorn figure.

Garcia has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jay's face.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garcia manages to avoid it.

Well Garcia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
