Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lawrence Alvarado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Glenn Stalhandske!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stalhandske connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alvarado. Alvarado circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


It looks like Lawrence Alvarado has been cut.
Stalhandske throws a poor cross that misses

and Alvarado counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stalhandske!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Alvarado wants to stand but Stalhandske is controlling his arm.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alvarado advances to full mount.
Alvarado thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Alvarado wants to stand but Stalhandske is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Alvarado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alvarado misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Alvarado working for a submission but Stalhandske is keeping him at bay.
You get the feeling that Stalhandske really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Alvarado is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alvarado landing punches.

Alvarado sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Alvarado throws some wild stikes that Stalhandske manages to avoid easily.
Alvarado misses with a head shot.
Stalhandske is trying to stand.
Alvarado landing strikes, looking to finish!
Stalhandske squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Stalhandske really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stalhandske blocking the ground and pound.

Alvarado throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Alvarado trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Stalhandske is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Alvarado has taken his back!
Stalhandske looks winded!
Alvarado trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Stalhandske doesn't escape.
Stalhandske covering up well and avoiding damage.
Alvarado will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Alvarado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Alvarado is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Stalhandske with him. Stalhandske is trying to defend but Alvarado has an arm under the chin now! Stalhandske grimaces and is forced to tap out!
