Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dai Vernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vernon comes to the cage accompanied by Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rodney Blake was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vernon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blake avoids it really well and circles away.
Vernon throws out a loose jab but Blake uses good head movement to avoid it.

Blake tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vernon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Vernon throws a series of punches but Blake avoids them all with ease.

Rodney Blake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blake fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vernon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Blake throws a body punch but Vernon moves out of range.
Blake swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vernon thows a leg kick but Blake checks it
and Blake counters with a good, hard body kick but Vernon shrugs it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vernon doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Blake throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Vernons head.
Vernon misses with a punch on the inside.

A close round but Rodney Blake will probably get the nod.

Vernon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blake but Blake pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Vernon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blake's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vernon throws an elbow that misses. Blake uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vernon's guard. Nice move by Blake!

Vernon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rodney Blake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vernon closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Blake pushes Vernon away with a front kick.
Vernon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Vernon lands a nice leg kick that just misses Blake's sensitive parts.
Blake wants to land a leg kick but Vernon is out of range.
A jab from Blake does it's job there.

Blake takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Blake drops Vernon with a beautiful combination! Vernon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Blake is looking for the KO!

Vernon is rocked!
Blake fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Vernon out cold! Brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Rodney Blake!
A relieved looking Rodney Blake thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
