Weber comes to the cage accompanied by ruff ryders' anthem. Dillon Weber could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Josh Koscheck's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dillon Weber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Koscheck!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koscheck swats away the attempt to clinch by Weber.
Weber tries to close the distance and clinch but Koscheck swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Koscheck shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Weber misses with a two punch combination.

Weber closes the distance and clinches.
Koscheck lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Weber is trying to break the clinch but Koscheck is controlling him.
Weber wants to break the clinch but can't.
Koscheck tries to score a body lock takedown but Weber shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Koscheck has Weber pressed against the cage, preventing Weber from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Weber wants to get back to striking at distance but Koscheck won't allow it.
Koscheck wants to stall.
Koscheck has Weber pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Weber manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dillon Weber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Koscheck.
Koscheck wants to take the fight to the mat but Weber manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Koscheck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Weber throws a right and a left that both miss.
Weber tries to clinch there but Koscheck circles away.

Koscheck fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Weber to the ground. Koscheck is now in Weber's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Koscheck wants to control from the top but Weber keeps moving.

Weber has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Koscheck off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The fight stays on the outside here - Weber looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Weber avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Koscheck has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Weber gets caught napping as Koscheck dives in and scores a takedown. Weber manages to retain guard.
Koscheck wants to stand and escape but instead Weber has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Koscheck is looking for a triangle but Weber pushes his legs off easily.
Koscheck looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koscheck wants to sweep but no luck.

Koscheck has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weber can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koscheck looking for a guillotine here but Weber defends easily.

Koscheck looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Weber loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Weber is pushing down on Koscheck's leg trying to pass to half guard. Koscheck is fighting to maintain full guard but Weber has managed to sneak the leg through.
Koscheck wants to get back to his feet.
Weber wants to lay and pray for a moment but Koscheck keeps working.

Weber is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Weber seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Koscheck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koscheck can do anything to dispel that myth.
Koscheck is not content to let Weber control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Weber stops Koscheck from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Josh Koscheck will probably get the nod.
That's time! Weber's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Weber lands a left and a right that send Koscheck crashing to the mat, dazed. Weber thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Koscheck is rocked!


It looks like Josh Koscheck has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Weber plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Koscheck to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Koscheck just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dillon Weber!
Dillon Weber opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
