Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irving Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Gemme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Irving Leblanc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Gemme!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leblanc scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gemme sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Leblanc is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gemme is just riding it out for now. Leblanc eventually gives up the hold.
Leblanc seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Leblanc moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Gemme.
Gemme is looking to regain half guard here but Leblanc keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gemme throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Gemme tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Gemme tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Leblanc wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gemme has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gemme is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Leblanc jumps into side control!

Leblanc is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gemme is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Leblanc connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gemme some visible discomfort.

Leblanc thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Leblanc avoids the strikes from the bottom by Gemme.
Gemme tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Leblanc stands up.
Gemme fails with a takedown attempt.
Jeremy Gemme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gemme throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gemme swinging wildly here.

Leblanc feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Leblanc changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gemme looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Leblanc tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gemme tries to reverse the position but Leblanc maintains control.
Leblanc takes Gemme's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
Gemme is breathing heavily.
Leblanc is trying to stick to Gemme's back but Gemme is turning into Leblanc. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Leblanc's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gemme.

Leblanc pulls Gemme in close to his closed guard and prevents Gemme from doing any damage or advancing position.

Gemme postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Leblanc is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gemme, into his guard.

Gemme blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Leblanc has hold of Gemme's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gemme manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Irving Leblanc.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Leblanc, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
