The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers looks for a takedown but Spencer sprawls well.
Myers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spencer pinned against the cage. Spencer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Myers has a takedown stuffed.

Myers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spencer swivels and escapes.

Spencer is trying to control Myers's posture but Myers avoids it.

Myers wants to control but Spencer is keeping him busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Myers goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Spencer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Myers but great work by Spencer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Myers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Spencer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Myers is working to avoid the ground and pound but Spencer connects with a decent elbow.

Myers controls Spencer momentarily but Spencer frees himself.

Spencer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Myers to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Spencer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Myers pulls down on the head and he's put Spencer to sleep! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Devin Myers thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
