Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chapa Coco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Coco takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Coco takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Chapa Coco has been cut.
Coco is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson misses the shot to the body.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Coco is out of range.
Johnson throws a body punch but Coco moves out of range.
Johnson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Coco looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Johnson lands with a good body shot.
Coco closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Coco pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Coco is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Coco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Johnson wants to sweep here but Coco controlling him for the moment.

Johnson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Silverback MMA Academy (Elite + Sauna & 160VM) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Coco throws an elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coco's guard. Nice move by Johnson!

Coco has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shaun Johnson.
Johnson throws a body punch but Coco moves out of range.
Johnson lands a right hook to the body.
Johnson is looking to wear down Coco with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Johnson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Johnson is in Coco's guard.
Coco throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Coco takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That has opened up Chapa Coco's cut even more.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Johnson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Johnson avoids the strikes from the bottom by Coco.
Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Coco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ground and pound from Johnson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Chapa Coco's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chapa Coco's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
