The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cleo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fuma counters with an inside leg kick.
Cleo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Fuma throws a series of strikes that have Cleo backpedaling.

It looks like Ula Cleo has been cut.
Fuma scores with a jab to the jaw.

Cleo is rocked!

Cleo gets caught napping as Fuma dives in and scores a takedown. Cleo manages to retain guard.
Oh Cleo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Fuma sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Fuma must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fuma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cleo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kotaro Fuma hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Fuma shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Cleo is on queer street and Fuma is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
