Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mary Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Tatsuya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mary Barron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Tatsuya!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barron lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Barron avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Barron is defended easily by Tatsuya.
Tatsuya tries to clinch up but Barron circles away and keeps his distance.
Horrible takedown by Barron or perhaps it was just good defense by Tatsuya which made him look bad.

and Tatsuya holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Barron drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tatsuya pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tatsuya pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Tatsuya misses with a takedown attempt - Barron sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Barron pushes Tatsuya up against the cage in a clinch.

Barron manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Barron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tatsuya gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tatsuya decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tatsuya tries to close the distance and clinch but Barron swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tatsuya has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Barron.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Barron is defended easily by Tatsuya.
Tatsuya looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tatsuya shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barron sprawls well. Barron wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tatsuya gets slowly back to his feet.
Barron fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tatsuya shoots in but no luck this time.
Barron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barron closes the distance and clinches.

Barron is looking for a takedown.

Barron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tatsuya fails with the takedown.
Tatsuya looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barron is fending him off so far but Tatsuya persists. Nope, Barron circles away and we're back to standing.
Barron wants to clinch but Tatsuya slips to the side
and Tatsuya counters with a nice uppercut.

Barron clinches.
Tatsuya tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tatsuya tries to pull guard but Barron won't allow it.
Nice body punch from Barron - that landed with a thud.

Barron ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Barron no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Barron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tatsuya manages to get himself to full guard.

Barron stands up and waves to Tatsuya to follow him.

Barron takes the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tatsuya prevents the takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Barron breaks from the clinch.
Tatsuya swats away the attempt to clinch by Barron.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mary Barron dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Barron tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tatsuya swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tatsuya misses with a kick to the body
and Barron counters with a head kick. That will keep Tatsuya thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Tatsuya throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Barron wants to clinch.
Barron lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Tatsuya is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Barron has a takedown stuffed.
A head kick misses from Tatsuya.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barron.
Barron throws out a leg kick but Tatsuya moves out of range and Barron only half commits.
Barron rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tatsuya moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tatsuya closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Barron keeps control of Tatsuya as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tatsuya is looking to take this one to the mat.

Barron breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Barron gets tackled into the cage by Tatsuya. Tatsuya maintains the clinch.
Barron has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tatsuya is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Tatsuya tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barron just stands there and leans against the cage.
Barron jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tatsuya walks away with a smile on his face. Barron gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tatsuya has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Barron swinging wildly here.
Tatsuya tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barron defends well and Tatsuya ends up having to push Barron into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Barron's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barron slips a jab and a cross from Tatsuya.
Tatsuya tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barron swivels and escapes.

Tatsuya shoots in looking for a takedown but Barron manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tatsuya's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Barron dives in and grabs Tatsuya's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tatsuya pushes down on Barron's head and hops out.

A solid leg kick lands there for Barron.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barron.
Barron is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tatsuya tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barron swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tatsuya, pushing him back against the cage.

Barron manages to break the clinch.
Barron tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barron shoots in but no luck this time.

Tatsuya moves into the clinch successfully.

Barron is pressed up against the cage. Tatsuya has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barron down to the mat. Barron avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tatsuya shoots in looking for a takedown. Barron tries to sprawl out of it but Tatsuya keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barron manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tatsuya moves out of range of the strikes.
Barron fails in his attempt to clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mary Barron will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Tatsuya darts in looking for a takedown but Barron gets double underhooks and turns Tatsuya into the cage.

Barron pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Barron misses with a jab, cross combination.
A left lands for Barron.
Barron shoots in but Tatsuya avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Tatsuya throws a head kick that misses.
Mary Barron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sloppy strikes from Barron. Those never looked like landing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Barron doesn't manage to clinch there - Tatsuya circles away.

Mary Barron is winning the standup battle so far.

Barron throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tatsuya.
Barron throws a head kick but Tatsuya moves out of range.
Barron moves out of range as Tatsuya throws a body kick.
Tatsuya goes for a double leg but Barron avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barron continues to drive forward.
Tatsuya tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Barron lands with a right to the head.
Tatsuya tries to break the clinch but Barron is controlling the position.
Barron is working for takedown but Tatsuya is calmly controlling the position for now.
