Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Kross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ted Butler!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kross throws a leg kick but Butler checks it.
Kross connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Butler's hands.
Kross rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Butler moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kross feints and then cracks Butler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Butler down.
Butler looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kross lands with a hook. Butler tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


It looks like Ted Butler has been cut.
Butler showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kross.
Butler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Butler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kross, pushing him back against the ropes.
Butler is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Butler scores a nice knee to the body.
Butler stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Butler receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ted Butler.
Kross lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kross throws a right hand that Butler ducks under and follows up with a left that Butler also avoids with ease.

Butler has closed the distance and engaged Kross in a clinch.
Butler unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Butler is pushing Kross up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kross looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Butler taking a breather.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ted Butler.
Kross throws a right hand that Butler ducks under and follows up with a left that Butler also avoids with ease.
Butler throws a sloppy head kick and Kross moves out of range easily.
Butler takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kross throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Butler clinches.
Kross tries to break free but Butler pushes him back against the ropes.
Butler throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kross blocks it with crossed arms.
Kross has had enough of the clinch but Butler keeps him there for the moment.

Kross trying to stall but Butler improves his position.
Butler effectively controlling the action here.
Butler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Butler dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Butler manages to break the clinch.
A head kick from Kross lands but Butler takes it in his stride.
Albert Kross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kross doesn't manage to clinch there - Butler circles away.

Butler drives through and clinches with Kross against the ropes.
Kross being controlled against the ropes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kross wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Butler keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kross's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Albert Kross will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Ted Butler's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kross misses with a head kick.
Kross tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Butler blocks a head kick by Kross.

Butler has taken the fight to the clinch.
Butler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ted Butler.
Kross throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Butler.
Albert Kross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kross slips a jab from Butler.
Albert Kross is winning the standup battle so far.
A head kick from Kross lands but Butler takes it in his stride.
Kross throws a nice looking combination but Butler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Donk. Kross catches Butler right on the button with a cross.


Butler is rocked!
Butler backs away from a small jab... but Kross lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Butler crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Kross with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Albert Kross!
