Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Evil Ryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finnick Odair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Evil Ryu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Finnick Odair!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Odair finds it's target.
Odair misses with a lunging right hand
and Ryu counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Odair!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ryu decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Ryu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Odair as he jumps to the side.
Odair moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryu staying out of range there.
Ryu misses with an uppercut.
A big left from Odair misses.
Ryu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ryu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ryu fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jab by Odair.
Odair keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ryu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Odair scores with a body shot.
Finnick Odair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Odair feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ryu's calf.
Ryu doesn't manage to clinch there - Odair circles away.
Ryu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Odair paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Odair cracks Ryu with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ryu looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Odair finish him?
Ryu is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ryu leaves his chin hanging out and Odair seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ryu crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Finnick Odair!
