Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Klose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Benito Kamelas!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klose blocks a head kick by Kamelas.
Klose uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kamelas.
Klose looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kamelas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kamelas lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Klose steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kamelas.
Kamelas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kamelas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Klose slips under a jab.
Kamelas fakes the leg kick and cracks Klose in the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamelas lands with a kick to the temple. Klose shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Kamelas throws a half hearted mid kick.
A big left from Kamelas misses.
Klose blocks a head kick by Kamelas.
Klose has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kamelas throws a head kick that half lands.


Klose is rocked!

Crunch! Kamelas slams his shin into Klose's torso.
Oh Klose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kamelas throws a nice outside leg kick.
Klose seems to have got his legs back now.
Klose is breathing heavily.
Klose walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kamelas.
Kamelas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Klose ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kamelas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kamelas lands a glancing blow to the side of Klose's head.
Kamelas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Benito Kamelas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Klose avoids the head kick by Kamelas.
A jab lands there for Kamelas.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kamelas throws a jab but it's blocked by Klose.
Kamelas jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Klose checks a leg kick nicely.
Klose moves out of range of the strikes.
Nice body kick from Kamelas.
Klose ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kamelas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kamelas pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kamelas is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Kamelas tries a head kick but it misses.
Kamelas throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Klose counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kamelas!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Klose lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kamelas down.

It looks like Benito Kamelas has been cut.
Klose lands some shots froms side control.
Klose is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kamelas's shoulder. That is not cool.
Klose throws a strike aimed at the side of Kamelas's head but Kamelas avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Klose controls the position.
Kamelas parries the strikes from Klose easily there. Klose is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kamelas to escape.

Klose tries to advance to mount but Kamelas denies him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Klose trying to control the position but Kamelas is working away.
Klose working the ground and pound but Kamelas is defending the strikes.
Kamelas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Klose.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Klose throws an elbow but Kamelas slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kamelas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Benito Kamelas seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kamelas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Klose on the side of the head.
Kamelas looks to land a body kick but Klose moved away.
Kamelas misses with a body kick.
Kamelas throws a low kick but Klose moves out of range easily.
Klose steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kamelas.
Klose walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kamelas.
Kamelas throws a lazy uppercut

and Klose counters with a shoot takedown. Kamelas fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Frank Klose overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kamelas is looking to stand up but Klose isn't so interested in that idea.

Klose throws a big elbow that misses.

Kamelas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Klose in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Klose scoring with some ground and pound.
Kamelas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Klose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Klose pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kamelas is keeping the position for now.
Klose lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Klose landing some decent shots from guard.
Klose throws a strike but Kamelas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kamelas wants to get up but he can't break Klose's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Klose manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A big left from Kamelas misses.
Kamelas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Klose.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kamelas.
Kamelas throws a hook to the side of Klose's head but Klose sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Frank Klose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fighters circling - Kamelas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Klose moves out of range as Kamelas strikes.
Kamelas connects with a leg kick. Klose looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Klose moves away from the strike by Kamelas.
Klose blocks a head kick by Kamelas.
Kamelas throws a lazy uppercut

and Klose counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Klose gets to his feet and stands over Kamelas, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kamelas felt that one! Klose unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kamelas from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Klose!
A very excited looking Frank Klose made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
