The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley throws a chopping leg kick but Matthews manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Matthews.
Riley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Riley fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Matthews tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matthews somewhat.
Riley throws a shot from downtown. Matthews moves away and avoids it.
Matthews on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Riley. Riley obviously looking to wear him down.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Matthews. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Riley cracks Matthews on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Matthews falls backwards against the cage. Riley follows up with more strikes that drop Matthews to his knees. Riley keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Matthews! This one is all over!
