Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irving Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Pyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Pyne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Irving Leblanc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Pyne!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leblanc looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pyne misses with a takedown attempt - Leblanc sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Leblanc counters with a nice uppercut.

and Pyne counters by clinching up.
Pyne is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Leblanc pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Pyne struggles to land a body shot inside as Leblanc controls his hands.
Leblanc has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pyne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Pyne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leblanc has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pyne has managed to get both his arms back between Leblanc's legs - danger averted.

Leblanc perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Leblanc seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Pyne wants to improve his position but Leblanc is controlling well.
Pyne is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Leblanc's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Leblanc's back!

That was a close round but I would say that Irving Leblanc will probably get the nod.

We've been informed that Pyne has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Pyne tries to clinch up but Leblanc circles away and keeps his distance.

Pyne tries to land a front kick but Leblanc steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Leblanc has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pyne uses from the top position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Pyne misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Leblanc fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Leblanc's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pyne tries to close the distance and clinch but Leblanc swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pyne shoots for a double leg takedown but Leblanc sprawls well. He's pushed Pyne's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Leblanc closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pyne's guard.
Pyne takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Leblanc slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Leblanc swings around for an armbar but Pyne sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Leblanc's guard.

Leblanc drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pyne pulls his leg out and moves away.

Leblanc fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Leblanc is landing with strikes. Pyne can't take much more of this.

Leblanc gets his hands free as Pyne looks to control.

Pyne just trying to survive but Leblanc is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Leblanc just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leblanc is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pyne defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
