Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Karavanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karavanov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Acton circles away quickly and effectively.
Acton slaps away a takedown attempt from Karavanov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Acton tries a head kick but it misses.
Karavanov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Acton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Karavanov won't be happy with that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
You can see the frustration on Karavanov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Acton slows the pace down.
Karavanov looking for a sweep but Acton has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Acton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Karavanov's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Karavanov defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Acton.

Karavanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Acton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Acton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Karavanov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Acton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Karavanov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Acton looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Acton jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Karavanov manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Acton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
