Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gissey Mallow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mallow misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for Mallow on that attempt.
No luck for Mallow with that takedown attempt.
King could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

King drives through with a takedown into Mallow's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
King is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
King is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

King stands and steps away. Mallow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Mallow lands a jab to the head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Mallow.
Mallow fails with a takedown attempt.
Bob King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gissey Mallow.

King closes the distance and clinches up with Mallow, looking for a takedown. King pushes Mallow against the cage but Mallow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mallow is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.
Mallow fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mallow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

King drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mallow looking to hit a scissor sweep but King is one step ahead there.
King stays in close to Mallow's body and controls the position.

Mallow looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.
Mallow looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King sitting in guard here, content to control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Bob King wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Mallow tries to clinch up
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mallow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mallow shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but Mallow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.
King advances position into side control!

King stands up and beckons Mallow to his feet.

King shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mallow's guard.

King gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

King closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - King lands in his opponent's guard.
King controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mallow tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A solid leg kick lands there for King.
Mallow is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from King. Mallow shrugs it off though.

King darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bob King overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
King is controlling the pace.
Mallow is breathing heavily.
King frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

King punishing his opponent with strikes.
King with a couple of short strikes.

Mallow is rocked!
King scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mallow?
Mallow is still in real trouble! Can King finish him?
King sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

King is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Mallow is forced to tap! Great finish!
