Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roosevelt Hensley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Astair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hensley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Astair sprawls well initially but Hensley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hensley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Astair wants to get back to his feet.
Hensley is taking a breather. Astair says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hensley escapes and gets back to his feet.

Hensley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Astair did well to prevent Hensley getting side control.
Hensley passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hensley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hensley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Astair has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hensley content just to control the position here.

Hensley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hensley looking to control and managing it successfully.
Hensley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Astair is trying to stand but he's just given Hensley his back.
Astair looks winded!

Hensley is cranking Astair's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Astair! He's tightened the choke and Astair is tapping out!
