PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cormier comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sick Puppies - You're Going Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brooks defends well and Cormier ends up having to push Brooks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Cormier changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brooks fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cormier looks for a takedown but Brooks sprawls well.
Bobby Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Cormier.

Brooks lands a left and a right that send Cormier crashing to the mat, dazed. Brooks thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Daniel Cormier has been cut.
Cormier looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cormier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brooks avoids it really well and circles away.
Cormier has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Brooks.

Brooks feints and as Cormier raises his hands in defense, Brooks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cormier is rocked!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Brooks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cormier's guard.
Cormier is still in real trouble! Can Brooks finish him?

Brooks decides to return to a standing position.

Cormier tries to keep at a distance but Brooks has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brooks gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Brooks is nestled in close to Cormier, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Brooks frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Brooks postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Cormier badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Brooks around the waist but Brooks pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Brooks is the winner by TKO! Brooks jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
