PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Hitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Dlugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hitman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Enter the Hitman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Piotr Dlugi!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dlugi throws a leg kick but Hitman sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Dlugi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hitman is trying to control Dlugi's posture but Dlugi avoids it.
Hitman manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hitman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dlugi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hitman.
Hitman tries to pass to full mount but Dlugi defends it.
Hitman tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dlugi.

Hitman passes the guard and advances to mount!

Hitman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dlugi is surviving well by controlling Hitman's body position as best he can.
Hitman wants to control the pace but Dlugi is squirming around nicely.
Hitman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Dlugi tries to lock up and control but Hitman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hitman wants to finish this one by submission but Dlugi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hitman.

Hitman working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dlugi looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hitman! Submission of the night perhaps?
