Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gert Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Caster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caster throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Caster throws a head kick that misses
and Muller counters with a head kick. That will keep Caster thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Muller stuffs the takedown.
Nice body kick there by Muller.
Caster shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Muller eats them both and turns towards Caster to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Muller definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Caster pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Muller tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Caster manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gert Muller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muller keeps the fight on the outside.

Caster blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Muller looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Muller is trying to break the clinch but Caster is controlling him.
Muller wants to get back to striking at distance but Caster won't allow it.
Caster manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Muller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Caster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Muller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Caster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Muller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Caster working a defensive guard but Muller manages to pass into side control anyway.
Caster tries to buck Muller off but Muller is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Caster is not content to let Muller control the position.
Caster is pushing Muller's head away, looking to escape. Muller manages to hold on to the position though.
Caster looks to move to half guard but instead Muller has passed into mount! Damn!

Caster tries to lock up and control but Muller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
We've been informed that Caster has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Muller looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Caster sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Gert Muller will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Caster avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Thomas Caster hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Muller lands with a kick to the temple. Caster shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Muller has taken the fight to the clinch.
Muller misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Muller is looking to break free of the clinch but Caster has double underhooks.
Muller tries a body shot but Caster blocks it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Muller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
