The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorrowe misses with a lunging right hand
and Giraldo counters with a nice body shot.
We've been hearing reports that Sorrowe has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Giraldo lands a nice shot that snaps Sorrowe's head back.
Giraldo throws a jab when Sorrowe was well out of range.
Giraldo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Greg Giraldo has been cut.
Sorrowe throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sorrowe misses with a body shot.
Giraldo ducks under a wild hook from Sorrowe.
Giraldo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Giraldo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sorrowe.
Giraldo slips a jab from Sorrowe.
Sorrowe thows a body shot but no joy.
Sorrowe avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Giraldo needs to keep his hands up - Sorrowe had a free shot at his head there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Giraldo ducks straight into an uppercut from Sorrowe and tumbles to the canvas! Itís a flash knockdown though - Giraldo manages to regain guard straight away.

Sorrowe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sorrowe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sorrowe postures up in Giraldo's guard and throws a big left but Giraldo blocks it.
Giraldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sorrowe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Giraldo wants to sweep here but Sorrowe controlling him for the moment.
Sorrowe cracks Giraldo with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sorrowe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sorrowe lands a couple of digs.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Giraldo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sorrowe is working Giraldo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Sorrowe stands up over Giraldo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Giraldo has momentary wrist control but Sorrowe slips an elbow through the middle.
Giraldo is still in real trouble! Can Sorrowe finish him?

Sorrowe is in close to Giraldo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sorrowe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sorrowe postures up and lands a big shot to Giraldo's brow.
Sorrowe postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Giraldo covers up, he's hurt! Sorrowe keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sorrowe and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sorrowe can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Sorrowe!
An out of breath Sean Sorrowe thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Greg Giraldo spoke after the fight, saying 'Well shit.'.
