Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Wesley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, River Greywar!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greywar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wesley ducks under a wild hook from Greywar.
Greywar cracks Wesley with a good jab.
Wesley checks a low kick from Greywar.
Greywar throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Greywar.
Greywar throws a combination that misses
and Wesley counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Greywar closes the distance and clinches.
Wesley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Greywar smiles and moves away.
Wesley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Greywar.
Greywar misses with a low kick.
Greywar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Greywar throws a nice looking combination but Wesley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wesley lands a jab to Greywar's midsection.
Greywar shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

The fighters circle momentarily. Greywar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Greywar motions for Wesley to come forward. Greywar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
River Greywar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wesley looks to score with a jab to the body but Greywar is just out of range.
Greywar tries a low kick but Wesley avoids it.

Wesley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Greywar avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Wesley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Greywar misses with a left hand
and Wesley counters with a one-two to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Greywar is trying to ground and pound but Wesley uses the momentary lack of control by Greywar to regain half guard.

Greywar is working for a kimura but Wesley is defending it quite comfortably.
Greywar tries to pass to full mount but Wesley defends it.

Greywar is stalling here. Wesley is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Greywar seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Wesley has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Greywar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wesley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Greywar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Greywar wants to get back to his feet but Wesley drags him back down.

Wesley throws a strike aimed at the side of Greywar's head but Greywar avoids it well.

Greywar throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

and Wesley counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wesley tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Greywar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Greywar connects with a nice short shot to Wesley's temple.
Greywar throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Wesley to regain full guard.
Greywar wants to pass the guard but Wesley is keeping the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

River Greywar dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Wesley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Greywar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Greywar moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Greywar has closed the distance and engaged Wesley in a clinch.
Wesley drops down looking for an ankle pick but Greywar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Greywar connects with an inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Greywar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wesley.
Wesley throws a wild hook but Greywar just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Wesley gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Greywar raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). River Greywar!
An out of breath River Greywar thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
