PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Best Song Ever-One Direction as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee misses with a head kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Mcgee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mcgee lands a couple of elbows.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcgee is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mcgee is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Mcgee manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Mcgee gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mcgee gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jones regains guard.
Mcgee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mcgee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
