The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cobb has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

I was talking to Kono's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kono, as that shot connected.

Kono is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cobb.

Kono throws out a leg kick but Cobb moves out of range and Kono only half commits.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cobb with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kono to score with a decent uppercut.
Kono lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kono swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kono is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Cobb moves forwards but Kono connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kono takes a swing at Cobb's ribcage but misses.
Cobb takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kono avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kono takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kono tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cobb was well out of range. Poor timing from Kono.
A punch lands to the side of Cobb 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kono throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cobb lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Kono is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cobb throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Kono crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Coco Cobb decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
