PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keenan Miao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miao is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: discolamon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miao works the jab nicely.
Alexander has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Miao thuds a left hand into Alexander's body.
Keenan Miao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miao as he jumps to the side.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Miao looks to land a combination. Alexander sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Alexander shoots in looking for a takedown but Miao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alexander's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Miao feints a jab promting Alexander to slip. Miao then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Alexander slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Miao throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alexander stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Miao will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Miao has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Alexander is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Miao pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alexander back to the cage. Miao follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Alexander throws a chopping leg kick but Miao manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Miao lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
