Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bernardo Bernardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Sowinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sowinski's choice of entrance music: Totentanz-Swiatlo Dnia. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernardo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sowinski as he jumps to the side.
Bernardo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sowinski on the side of the head.
Sowinski takes a kick to the side of the head.
Sowinski smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sowinski looks to throw the jab but Bernardo is out of range.

Bernardo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sowinski is on top in guard.

Bernardo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sowinski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sowinski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bernardo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sowinski manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sowinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bernardo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bernardo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bernardo is looking to take a break and control but Sowinski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bernardo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sowinski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sowinski tries to bench press Bernardo off him but Bernardo keeps the position.

Bernardo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Sowinski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
