Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Barchitta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Barchitta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruno Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barchitta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sanchez as he jumps to the side.
Barchitta fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sanchez slips a jab and a cross from Barchitta.
Barchitta tries to clinch up but Sanchez circles away and keeps his distance.
Barchitta could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Barchitta throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.

Sanchez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barchitta's guard.
Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barchitta swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sanchez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barchitta's guard.
Barchitta is trying to stand up here but Sanchez is controlling him well.
Sanchez is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sanchez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Barchitta tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sanchez!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bruno Sanchez!
