Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grand Master Yip Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers comes into the arena with Meatloaf: In The Land Of The Pigs blaring out of the sound system. Yip Man has chosen Everything in it's right place as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Grand Master Yip Man will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Dylan Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Grand Master Yip Man!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers stuns Yip Man with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Yip Man is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Yip Man tries for a takedown but Summers circles away easily

and Summers counters with a single leg into guard. Yip Man didn't expect that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Yip Man looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Summers passes into side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Summers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Yip Man takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

It looks like Yip Man might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Summers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yip Man jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Summers is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Summers and Yip Man has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Yip Man wants to control but Summers is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dylan Summers will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Summers feints and as Yip Man raises his hands in defense, Summers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Yip Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Summers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Yip Man wants to control the position but Summers says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Summers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yip Man does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Yip Man has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summers is working away from the top position though.
Summers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dylan Summers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yip Man is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Summers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Summers's back!

Yip Man looking to break Summers's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Summers remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Yip Man will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Yip Man isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Summers stacks Yip Man on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Summers!

Summers looks up at the clock and then as Yip Man takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Summers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Summers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Summers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
