The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Steele as Austin shoots in.
Austin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Austin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice jab there from Austin.
Austin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Steele fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Austin, pushing him back against the cage.
Steele jumps into guard, dragging Austin to the mat.
Austin wants to stand but Steele is controlling his posture from full guard.
Steele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Austin!
Steele wants to finish this one by submission but Austin is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Steele.
Austin is breathing heavily.
Steele has control of Austin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Austin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Steele wants to control the pace but Austin is squirming around nicely.

Steele is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Austin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Steele wants to lay and pray for a moment but Austin keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Austin throws a series of punches but Steele moves out of range.
Austin stuffs the takedown.

and Steele decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Austin's guard.

Austin has one foot on Steele's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

and Steele counters with a shoot takedown. Austin fights it but they end up in guard.
Steele stands up from Austin's guard - Steele perhaps looking for a knockout.
Austin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Steele.

No joy there for Steele, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Austin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steele holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Steele manages to break the clinch.

and Steele counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Steele.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Austin wants to get back to his feet but Steele is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Steele counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Steele.
Austin wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Steele manages to pass to side control.
Steele seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Austin is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
