The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGiver closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wingo circles away.
McGiver shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wingo as he jumps to the side.
McGiver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jewells McGiver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGiver closes the distance and clinches up with Wingo, looking for a takedown. McGiver pushes Wingo against the cage but Wingo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wingo stuffs the takedown attempt from McGiver. McGiver gets slowly back to his feet.
Wingo throws a front kick that sends McGiver stumbling back into the cage.

McGiver moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Jewells McGiver has been cut.
Wingo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wingo throws a sloppy head kick and McGiver moves out of range easily.
Whack! Wingo lands a heavy head kick that drops McGiver. The ref tackles Wingo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because McGiver was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ronnie Wingo!
