Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Gardiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Sven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, El Sven!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sven shoots in but no luck this time.
Sven tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Gardiner shoots in and gets a takedown into Sven's guard.
Gardiner controls from within his opponent's guard.
Gardiner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sven on the ground.
Gardiner trying to control but Sven is working from the bottom.
Sven is pulling down on Gardiner's head. It's preventing any offense from Gardiner, at least for the moment.
Sven has a closed guard, preventing Gardiner from standing up.
Gardiner advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sven is not content to let Gardiner control the position.
Sven is trying to work for a sweep but Gardiner has mounted him!
Gardiner wants to control the pace but Sven is squirming around nicely.
Sven sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Gardiner is trying to control. Sven wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Sven makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sven.
Gardiner throws a big elbow that misses.
Gardiner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Sven looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gardiner puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Gardiner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sven knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sven moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sven manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Sven sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Gardiner avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sven.
Sven content just to control the position here.
Sven's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Sven can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gardiner is looking to escape.

Sven is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gardiner has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gardiner tries to hold on but Sven pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but El Sven will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sven closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gardiner circles away.
A bone on bone clash there as Gardiner blocks the leg kick.

Gardiner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gardiner wants to stand but Sven has his arm trapped.
Sven tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sven sneaks back into half guard.
Sven preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Sven is trying to stand.
Sven regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Gardiner.
Sven throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sven is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gardiner is controlling him.

Sven wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sven tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gardiner swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gardiner darts in and clinches Sven up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gardiner utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Gardiner manages to break the clinch.

Gardiner feints and as Sven raises his hands in defense, Gardiner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sven is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sven is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sven wants to pass to mount but Gardiner is defending the position.

El Sven has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sven perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Gardiner wants to get back to his feet.
Sven throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sven thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gardiner's head.

Sven is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gardiner doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sven.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

El Sven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gardiner was well out of range. Poor timing from Sven.
Sven tries for a takedown but Gardiner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Gardiner closes the distance and clinches.
Knees to the body from Gardiner.
Sven is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Gardiner stalls.

Gardiner decides to pull guard.
Gardiner looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gardiner trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Sven is looking to stand up but Gardiner won't let him.
Sven tries to free his leg and advance position but Gardiner is retaining full guard.

Gardiner wants to sweep here but Sven controlling him for the moment.
Gardiner controls Sven momentarily but Sven frees himself.
Gardiner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gardiner tries to get out of the position.
Gardiner is really struggling to control Sven but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Sven slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Christopher Gardiner.
Gardiner shoots in but Sven avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sven closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gardiner did well to prevent Sven getting side control.
Sven is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sven has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sven misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gardiner gets caught napping as Sven dives in and scores a takedown. Gardiner manages to retain guard.

Gardiner looking for a sweep. Not yet Gardiner, not yet.

Gardiner is working an open guard so Sven takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sven fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sven throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gardiner.
Gardiner checks the leg kick.
No luck for Sven with that takedown attempt.
Christopher Gardiner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Sven.

Gardiner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sven's guard.

Sven controls Gardiner momentarily but Gardiner frees himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sven lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gardiner!

El Sven comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
