Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Juntta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spicey Mc Haggis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jussi Juntta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spicey Mc Haggis!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Juntta gets a takedown into half guard.

Mc Haggis looking for submissions off his back.
Mc Haggis has hold of Juntta's hands but Juntta slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mc Haggis wants to get back to full guard.
Juntta looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mc Haggis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Juntta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mc Haggis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Juntta has managed to get both his arms back between Mc Haggis's legs - danger averted.
Juntta postures up in Mc Haggis's guard and throws a big left but Mc Haggis blocks it.

Mc Haggis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Juntta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Juntta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Juntta is working Mc Haggis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Juntta wants to control from the top but Mc Haggis keeps moving.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mc Haggis is not content to let Juntta control the position.
Mc Haggis takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Mc Haggis is looking to regain half guard here but Juntta keeps moving and retains side control.

Juntta is nestled in close to Mc Haggis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've been hearing that Juntta has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

It looks like Spicey Mc Haggis has been cut.

Well, if Juntta is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mc Haggis is not content to let Juntta control the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Juntta works his way into side control.
Mc Haggis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Juntta wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Juntta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mc Haggis is trying to control Juntta's posture but Juntta avoids it.
Mc Haggis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Juntta off and has taken his back!

Mc Haggis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Juntta is defending well though. Mc Haggis let's go of the attempt for now.

Mc Haggis has the hooks in. Juntta is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Juntta tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Juntta bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Mc Haggis has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Juntta doesn't defend quickly enough and Mc Haggis has managed to lock this one up! Can Juntta escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mc Haggis on a fantastic submission victory.
