PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between the champ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cat Litter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litter tries to clinch up but champ circles away and keeps his distance.
Litter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? champ is fending him off so far but Litter persists. Nope, champ circles away and we're back to standing.

champ changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Litter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Litter is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

champ looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
champ tries to advance to mount but can't.

champ is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Litter has escaped the position, nice work there.

champ tries for a kimura but Litter is defending well.
Litter regains half guard.

Litter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Litter looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Litter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. champ is working away from the top position though.

champ is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Litter is just riding it out for now. champ eventually gives up the hold.
Litter is trying to stand.
champ wants to take a breather but Litter is having none of it.
champ prevents Litter from improving his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Litter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Litter looks gassed!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

champ feints and as Litter raises his hands in defense, champ changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
champ stays in close to Litter's body and controls the position.
champ stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Litter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Litter looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
champ is pushing down on Litter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Litter is fighting to maintain full guard but champ has managed to sneak the leg through.

champ is working for a kimura but Litter is defending it quite comfortably.

Litter actively working from the bottom here.
champ trying to control the action but Litter is working from the bottom.
Litter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Litter has a hand on champ's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. champ takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

champ tries to control but Litter wriggling away.

champ is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Litter can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

champ working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Litter looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by champ! Submission of the night perhaps?
