PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leo Akali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Mizoguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mizoguchi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kaneda's Theme. Tetsuo Mizoguchi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mizoguchi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mizoguchi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Leo Akali has been cut.

Akali clinches up with Mizoguchi and pushes him back against the cage.

Mizoguchi's coach down at Millions Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mizoguchi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Mizoguchi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Akali is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Akali has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Akali tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Akali has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close second round but I would say that Leo Akali will probably get the nod.

This one could be over very soon! Akali goes limp - he's gone! Mizoguchi jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
