The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laid with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sendoh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sendoh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Laid.
Sendoh slaps away a takedown attempt from Laid, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Laid. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Laid has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Laid has an Americana. Sendoh didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Laid is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Laid hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
