Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). New Dalton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Filipovic moves into the clinch.

Filipovic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Filipovic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dalton moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Filipovic slaps away a takedown attempt from Dalton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Filipovic wants to clinch up but Dalton keeps it at a distance.
Dalton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filipovic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dalton throws a series of punches but Filipovic moves out of range.

Dalton has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Filipovic could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dalton shoots in for a takedown but Filipovic shows good takedown defense.

Filipovic is trying to drag Dalton to the mat but Dalton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Filipovic has hold of Dalton's hands but Dalton slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Dalton is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Dalton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Dalton lunges at Filipovic with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Filipovic's hand.

Dalton tries to clinch up.

Dalton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Filipovic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dalton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Filipovic is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Filipovic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Filipovic.

Filipovic has momentary wrist control but Dalton slips an elbow through the middle.
Dalton passes Filipovic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Filipovic is trying to stand.
Dalton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Filipovic moves in looking to clinch but Dalton pushes him off.

and Dalton counters with a crisp one two that drops Filipovic! Dalton thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Filipovic to his feet! Filipovic is in big trouble!

Filipovic is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Filipovic tries to get into range but Dalton steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Filipovic! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Dalton scores the big KO victory!
