Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Gragula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Proffesor Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Proffesor Ness will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ness throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gragula misses with a head kick.
Ness has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Gragula closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ness quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gragula moves into full mount! Ness won't be happy about that!
Ness tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ness defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gragula.
Ness sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gragula wants to pass the guard but Ness is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gragula has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ness can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ness fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gragula manages to avoid it.
Ness lands a jab.

Gragula feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
