Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Marchand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wensink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wensink's choice of entrance music: Momma Said Knock You Out. John Wensink has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marchand shoots in for a takedown but Wensink shows good takedown defense.
Marchand tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wensink swivels and escapes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Marchand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Marchand. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wensink throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marchand sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Marchand uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wensink.
Marchand blocks a jab.
Wensink tests Marchand's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Marchand throws a series of punches but Wensink moves out of range.

Marchand doesn't manage to clinch there - Wensink circles away.
Wensink missing with a left hand there. Marchand was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wensink lands an overhand right.
Marchand scores with a jab to the body.
Wensink fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marchand manages to avoid it.
Wensink slaps away a takedown attempt from Marchand, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wensink looks to land a right hand but Marchand moved out of range.
Wensink scores with a crisp jab that stopped Marchand in his tracks.

Wensink instigates a clinch.
Marchand blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Wensink misses with a knee to the head.

Marchand is rocked!
Wensink lands a shoulder strike.
Oh Marchand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wensink wants the takedown. Marchand is fighting it off but Wensink persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Marchand's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Marchand had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wensink defends it easily.
Marchand preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Wensink is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Marchand working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wensink.
Wensink postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Marchand covers up, he's hurt! Wensink keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Wensink and the ref steps in to end the fight! Wensink can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
