Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Weatherspoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weatherspoon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shine On by NeedtoBreathe. On his way into the cage it seems that Sean Weatherspoon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sean Weatherspoon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Weatherspoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Great Bob!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Weatherspoon looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bob wants to control but Weatherspoon is keeping him busy.
Weatherspoon wants to control but Bob is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Weatherspoon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bob.
Bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weatherspoon keeps working.
Bob wants to pass to mount but Weatherspoon is defending the position.

Weatherspoon is trying to control but can't.

Bob not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bob lands a nice short elbow.
Bob sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Weatherspoon defending well though.
Bob takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Great Bob just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bob takes the fight into the clinch.
Bob gets underhooks to prevent Weatherspoon's takedown attempt.
Bob's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bob looking for a guillotine here but Weatherspoon defends easily.
Weatherspoon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bob is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bob wants to control from the top but Weatherspoon keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Weatherspoon is trying to keep Bob in close.

Weatherspoon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Weatherspoon is looking for a triangle but Bob pushes his legs off easily.

Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bob has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Weatherspoon's face.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Weatherspoon wants to control but Bob is having none of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bob prevents Weatherspoon from getting the reversal.

Weatherspoon tries to hold on but Bob postures up.

Weatherspoon is working to get back to half guard.
Bob takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Great Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Bob shoots in looking for a takedown. Weatherspoon tries to sprawl out of it but Bob keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Weatherspoon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Weatherspoon gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Great Bob comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bob has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
