And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saadiev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Paul Zidel has been cut.
Zidel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Zidel tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Saadiev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zidel tries a head kick but it misses.
Saadiev circles away from the clinch attempt
and Saadiev counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Zidel looks to clinch
and Saadiev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Saadiev counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Saadiev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Saadiev tries to land a leg kick but Zidel saw it coming and moves away.
Oooooh!!! Saadiev has knocked Zidel down with a huge combo! Saadiev steps away and waves a wobbly Zidel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Zidel is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zidel wants to clinch but Saadiev slips to the side
and Saadiev counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dmitry Saadiev!
After the fight, Dmitry Saadiev was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
