Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Namba Babakla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Filc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jan Filc will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filc tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Filc throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Babakla.

Filc pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Babakla shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Babakla throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Filc tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Babakla is in Filc's guard.

Babakla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Namba Babakla wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Filc pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Filc gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Babakla to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Babakla seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Filc for as long as he can get away with.

Babakla lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Babakla takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Filc is still in real trouble! Can Babakla finish him?

Babakla working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Filc turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Babakla off and cradles Filc's limp body as Babakla celebrates with his corner.
