Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vegas avoids it really well and circles away.
Vegas is looking to clinch.

Vegas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Vegas wants to stand but Tanner has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Vegas stalling.
Vegas is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Vegas wants to stand and escape but instead Tanner has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Tanner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tanner tries to free his leg and advance position but Vegas is retaining full guard.

Tanner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tanner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vegas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tanner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Vegas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Vegas controlling the position well.
Vegas is looking to control Tanner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vegas avoid being mounted?
Vegas is looking to get back to full guard here but Tanner has managed to pass to side control instead.

Vegas tries to buck Tanner off but Tanner is having none of it.
Vegas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vegas is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tanner is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Tanner misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Vegas is trying to reverse the position but instead Tanner has taken his back - oops!
Tanner is looking to control Vegas but Vegas is wriggling around and keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tanner sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Vegas taps out!
