Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Duyzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dwight Butler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Norman Duyzer!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duyzer misses with the combination.
Duyzer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Butler swivels and escapes.

Butler looking to score a takedown here. Duyzer is defending well but Butler drives through and ends up in Duyzer's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Duyzer controls Butler momentarily but Butler frees himself.
Butler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Butler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Duyzer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Butler has managed to get both his arms back between Duyzer's legs - danger averted.
Duyzer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Butler puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Duyzer is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Butler jumps into side control!

Butler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Duyzer, who protects the arm well.

Duyzer wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Butler is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Duyzer will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Butler tries to move into full mount but can't pass Duyzer's legs.
Butler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dwight Butler.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Duyzer.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Butler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Butler lands in his opponent's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Duyzer dives in and grabs Butler's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butler pushes down on Duyzer's head and hops out.

Duyzer is trying to control Butler's posture but Butler avoids it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Duyzer can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Horrible takedown by Duyzer or perhaps it was just good defense by Butler which made him look bad.
Duyzer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Butler circles away.
Norman Duyzer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duyzer slips a jab and a cross from Butler.
Duyzer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Duyzer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Butler is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Duyzer wants to stand and escape but Butler is having none of it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Butler throws a big elbow that misses.
Butler wanted to stand there but Duyzer had control of the position.
Duyzer has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Butler has passed into side control.
Butler controls the position.
Duyzer wants to control but Butler postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duyzer is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Duyzer wants to get back to his feet but Butler is dominant here and he's now got Duyzer's back!

Butler is working the ground and pound. Can Duyzer escape?

Butler cracks Duyzer with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Duyzer from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Butler is trying to stick to Duyzer's back but Duyzer is turning into Butler. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Butler's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Duyzer.

Butler looking for a triangle here. Duyzer is fighting it but it looks tight! Butler pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Duyzer is tapping out - this one is all over!
