Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Pablo Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Green might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallica - Unforgiven. McGuire has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire moves away from the strike by Green.

McGuire drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGuire jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McGuire had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily.
McGuire manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Green manages to get himself to full guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw McGuire working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Green wants to stand up but McGuire is controlling him.
McGuire tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard.

Green had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McGuire defends it easily.

McGuire looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Green with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
