Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Gouken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Una Kemeameahu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kemeameahu has chosen Ride of the Valkryes as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemeameahu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gouken.
Nice jab there from Gouken.
Gouken has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 11th Planet Fitness ($100/wk) in the buildup to the fight.
Kemeameahu takes a swing at Gouken's ribcage but misses.
Kemeameahu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A thudding body kick lands there by Gouken!

Kemeameahu throws a hook to the side of Gouken's head but Gouken sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Kemeameahu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gouken defends it easily.

Gouken throws a strike but Kemeameahu rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kemeameahu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gouken is now in Kemeameahu's guard. A big mistake from Kemeameahu there, giving up the dominant position!

Kemeameahu has his foot on Gouken's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gouken works his way back into a safe position though.

Gouken wants to control from the top but Kemeameahu keeps moving.

Kemeameahu isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gouken stacks Kemeameahu on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gouken!
Kemeameahu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gouken wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Gouken decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Gouken loads up on a big right hand but Kemeameahu slips the punch.
Gouken takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kemeameahu walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gouken uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kemeameahu feints a jab promting Gouken to slip. Kemeameahu then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gouken slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Scott Gouken is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gouken lands a body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Gouken.
Gouken scores with a kick to the midsection.
A left lands for Kemeameahu.
Kemeameahu blocks a head kick by Gouken.

Kemeameahu has managed to clinch.
Kemeameahu unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gouken lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Kemeameahu throws an elbow but it misses.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gouken.
Gouken wants to break free but Kemeameahu has control.
Gouken wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kemeameahu has him pressed against the cage.

Gouken pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kemeameahu gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gouken misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kemeameahu.
Gouken lands a nice looking body shot.

Kemeameahu instigates a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Una Kemeameahu.
