Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammad Al Nasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikola Veljanovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammad Al Nasser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikola Veljanovski!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Veljanovski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Veljanovski showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Veljanovski trying to advance position but Al Nasser counters by regaining guard.
Veljanovski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Al Nasser wants to sweep here but Veljanovski controlling him for the moment.

Horrible takedown by Al Nasser or perhaps it was just good defense by Veljanovski which made him look bad.

Nikola Veljanovski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Al Nasser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nikola Veljanovski hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Veljanovski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
