The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Ares looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mayhem.
Ares tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mayhem swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mayhem jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mayhem scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Nicholas Ares has been cut.
Ares takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mayhem misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ares on the wrong end of a nice jab.

and Ares takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ares shoots in looking for a takedown but Mayhem manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ares's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Harrison Mayhem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicholas Ares.
Ares wants to clinch but Mayhem slips to the side
and Mayhem counters with a nice leg kick.
Mayhem throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Mayhem really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mayhem has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Oooooh!!! Mayhem has knocked Ares down with a huge combo! Mayhem steps away and waves a wobbly Ares back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Mayhem steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Ares is out on his feet! Mayhem sets himself and nearly takes Ares's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
