Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sixten Benassi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Benassi avoids it really well and circles away.
Benassi forces Perkins back against the cage and clinches.
Perkins manages to break the clinch.
Perkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perkins showed some decent athleticism there.

Benassi is looking to control Perkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Benassi avoid being mounted?

Perkins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Perkins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Perkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Benassi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Benassi wants to control from the top but Perkins keeps moving.
Benassi throws a strike but Perkins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Benassi wants to stand and escape but Perkins is having none of it.

Benassi wants to clinch up but Perkins keeps it at a distance.
Benassi avoids the head kick by Perkins.
Benassi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Perkins swivels and escapes.

Perkins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Benassi smiles and moves away.

Perkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fight stays on the outside here - Benassi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Perkins takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Benassi misses with a takedown attempt - Perkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Wayne Perkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sixten Benassi.
The ground and pound from Perkins seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Benassi takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Benassi looking very determined here, making life difficult for Perkins.
Perkins slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Benassi is covering up but some of the strikes from Perkins are getting through and doing damage.
Perkins controlling well, preventing Benassi from escaping the position.

Perkins is looking for the choke from the back position but Benassi is controlling his hands well.
Benassi wants to get back to his feet.
Perkins has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Benassi's body.
Benassi is trying to get back to his feet but Perkins has full control of the position and if anything, Benassi has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Benassi covers up after that shot from Perkins.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Perkins controlling from the back.
Perkins is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Benassi has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Perkins has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Benassi taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Perkins doesn't care though - he's delighted!
