Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Night Owl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Sharkhausen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owl comes to the cage accompanied by Dead man Gun. Night Owl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Night Owl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Sharkhausen!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sharkhausen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Owl, pushing him back against the cage.
Sharkhausen lands a body shot.
Sharkhausen scores with a shot to the side of Owl's head.
Sharkhausen is trying to break the clinch but Owl has him pressed against the cage.

Sharkhausen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Owl shoots in but Sharkhausen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Night Owl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sharkhausen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Owl throws a lazy head kick
and Sharkhausen counters with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sharkhausen tries to clinch there but Owl circles away.
Owl seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Owl accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sharkhausen wants to stand but Owl is controlling the position.
Owl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sharkhausen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Sharkhausen dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sharkhausen lands a big uppercut and Owl crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Owl looks OK. Sharkhausen waves Owl back to his feet!
Sharkhausen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Owl looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sharkhausen rushes Owl and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sharkhausen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Owl goes for a double leg but Sharkhausen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sharkhausen continues to drive forward.

Owl closes the distance and clinches up with Sharkhausen, looking for a takedown. Owl pushes Sharkhausen against the cage but Sharkhausen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sharkhausen feints with a jab and clips Owl right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Owl is sent crashing into the canvas and Sharkhausen leaps in for the kill! Owl tries to get to his feet but Sharkhausen is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Owl is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Sharkhausen!
Max Sharkhausen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
